VOLUNTEERING AS A WECC JUDGE
Thank you for your interest in judging the submissions from student teams in the World Evaluation Case Competition (WECC).
Required Experience
At least six years in program or policy evaluation
Familiarity with a variety of program mechanisms and subject areas
Hands-on development of evaluation plans including logic models and evaluation matrices
Direct use of a wide variety of data collection techniques.
Responsibilities of a Judge
Before the competition, study the case and become familiar with the tasks expected of the student teams
After the competition, read the submissions from four or five of the teams and rate them using a bench-marked scale provided by WECC
Prepare feedback on each team's submission, indicating its strengths and discussing areas that needed further development.
Timing
The competition will be held in early November
Judges are expected to deliver their ratings and feedback within 12 days of receiving their assigned submissions
Members of the judging panel should be prepared to commit around eight (8) hours to the review process.
